Operational Details

• Suica is accepted on trains, buses, and various transportation systems nationwide. Additionally, it is compatible with other regions utilizing similar card systems (e.g., PASMO, ICOCA).
• It can be leveraged for payments in stores displaying the IC mark across Japan.
• To utilize support services in case of issues, setting a secret keyword is recommended. Email assistance is provided in English only.
• Compatibility extends to iPhones running iOS 17.2 or later and Apple Watch Series 3 or later.
• Transactions are facilitated exclusively via Apple Pay without any deposit or issuance fees involved.

Important Considerations

• The balance associated with Welcome Suica Mobile will expire 180 days following issuance. Once expired, a new Suica may be obtained through the app, but refunds are not possible; therefore, it is prudent to use any remaining balance before this time.
• The use of Suica is not available when your device is turned off. Should this occur while passing through ticket gates, cash payment for the traveled section will be required.
• It is advisable to enable Express Mode for Suica, which allows passage through automatic ticket gates without biometric authentication; however, biometric checks may still be necessary for purchases.
